This notation is pretty simple; dark circles mean covered holes; empty circles mean uncovered holes; a '+' below means to blow harder to get the upper octave; a '#' below means this note is too low for the whistle chosen and you'll have to fake it :) The author of this program always plays accidentals by closing holes, so you'll never see half-covered holes.
When I was starting, I found notation like this to be very helpful, and I know plenty of people who have trouble reading music who find this notation easier. Good luck!

Strafe the Town and Kill the People Strafe the town and kill the people Let's declare a massacre. Lay napalm in the square, So you'll know that Jake was there Drop the candy in the courtyard, Let the kiddies gather 'round. Crank your twenty-millimeter, Gun the little bastards down. Come 'round early Sunday morning, Catch the village unaware. Drop a bunch of cluster bomblets, Get 'em while they kneel in prayer. Tune: Wake the Town and Tell the People From The Longest Day, Bowen and Fish Note: Originated in Korea; widely circulated in Vietnam. RG
